How long does it take to graduate from the school?
We offer programs that last anywhere from a week to a few months, or longer depending on the schedule you choose. We offer flexible schedules to allow you to balance your life and your education. Our Esthetics program can be completed in 18 weeks, our Nail Technology program in 8 weeks, and our Waxing program in 3 weeks, if you choose the full-time schedule.

When should I register?
Our programs are very popular and tend to fill up quickly. We recommend students register as soon as they have a start date in mind. In order to offer an excellent education to our students, our classrooms are kept at a specific student/teacher ratio.
What are the programs that you offer?
We offer 3 licensed programs: Esthetics, Nail Specialty and Waxing, which will prepare you for the New York State Board exam as well as a career in the field. We also have Basic and Advanced Makeup programs that will prepare students to learn the latest makeup trends and techniques and achieve their Makeup Artist Certification.
How old should I be to register at your school?
To register, you must be at least 17 years old.

Yes, Christine Valmy International School for Esthetics, Skin Care and Makeup is accredited by ACCSC.

Do you have job assistance?
Upon graduation, alumni will receive access to our Alumni Resource Center. This includes exclusive access to our job board, where some of the biggest names in the beauty industry come to find new talent. We maintain relationships with spas and salons throughout the city who look to Christine Valmy graduates first when hiring.
Licensed Programs
Why is it important for the school to be licensed by New York State?
Being a licensed school is important as it means that we are approved by New York State to teach New York State licensed programs that will prepare students for the New York State Board Exam. When you pass the New York State Board Exam, you will receive a license that will allow you to work in the state of New York.
Which offered programs are licensed by New York State?
Christine Valmy International School offers the following programs, licensed by the State of New York: Esthetics, Nail Specialty, and Waxing
How can I get my esthetics, nail or waxing license?
By registering for a licensed program for esthetics, nail specialty or waxing, you will receive the training to prepare you for the board exam. Once completing the program, you will be given instructions on how to apply for your license.
What is a credit transfer?
A credit transfer allows a student to transfer credits from prior programs that are covered in the curriculum of the program you are applying for. A transcript will be required and evaluated by our enrollment officers and the school Director. For more information, please contact us.
Do you accept credit from other institutions?
It is the policy of Christine Valmy International School to grant credit for hours spent studying the same field at another approved school. A student looking to transfer credits must supply a transcript from their previous school. No more than 75% of a program may be transferred. For more information, please contact us.
Admissions
What are the program requirements?
Eligible students must:
- Be 17 years of age or older (official government-issued document or affidavit must be shown as proof of age)
- Conduct a personal interview at the school
- Provide evidence of one of the following: proof of high school diploma, GED or college degree or official college transcript for an associate’s degree or above. Foreign diplomas must be translated and a certificate for equivalency must be issued.

What certificate or diploma should I have to register?
To register, you will need to provide one of the following: (1)Proof of High School Diploma, GED equivalent, home-study certificate, or transcript from a home-study program that is equivalent to high school level and is recognized by the student’s home state; (2)College degree or official college transcript, such as AS, AA, BA, BS, MBA, Ph.D.
Foreign diplomas must be translated and a certificate for equivalency must be issued.
Can I apply with a diploma from a foreign country?
Yes, foreign diplomas are accepted. All diplomas must be translated into English and certified to be at least equivalent to a US high school diploma.

What type of payment plan do you offer?
All students are offered an interest-free, weekly payment plan. Weekly payments vary based on the length and total cost of the program. For more information, please contact us.

Where are you located?
We are located in the heart Times Square in New York City at 1501 Broadway, Suite 700 (Entrance on 43rd St. on the West side of Broadway).
How can I get to you?
We’re conveniently located near most subway lines, Penn Station, and the Port Authority.
Do I need an appointment or can I come directly?
No appointments are necessary but we encourage you to give us a call ahead of time so we can make sure to have one of our enrollment officers available when you walk through our doors. Find our contact information here.
