What Our Alumni Have to Say

As a recent graduate, I can say there is no doubt in my mind that I picked the right school. I learned so many valuable things from all the teachers/staff and I honestly will never forget any of them. I passed my state written exam with flying colors before I graduated because I was well prepared from the start. Literally day one. You're taught the material from the book and you're also taught skills that not only help you in the workforce but in life. You're taught how to use your knowledge to make decisions on how to best help your client and not just do the same service and treatments for everyone. You're taught to think for yourself and ask questions. You're challenged and you're encouraged to constantly improve your technique and increase your knowledge. I was originally supposed to go somewhere else. Somewhere flashy with all the bells and whistles. The night before I was going in to register I found Christine Valmy. Their stance on natural skincare and belief in achieving overall health of the skin had me hooked. There is no doubt in my mind that I would be the esthetician I am today if I had gone elsewhere. Sorry this is so long, just a proud graduate over here.

After months of research to find a school that would provide me with an elite skincare curriculum, I decided on Christine Valmy of Pine Brook, NJ. The admissions department is always available and follows through; the Financial Counseling office is one the best. Giovanna and Yenni made themselves available and informed me on the process of financial counseling, permits, and updates as my state permits and tests were processed. Janine, the Assistant Director, works tirelessly making sure the school is safe and up to date on state protocols and fills that job board and email inboxes as promised. Janine aided me in my job placement, and it met my exact specifications, and I couldn't be happier. The teachers are remarkable. One of my favorite parts of my education I valued was the way each teacher taught. Each one came from a different generation and provided a well-rounded approach to the beginning of skincare by Christine Valmy to those who spoke a more business-minded, current-day approach. Both are essential for a fully rounded education! I must give a superstar shoutout to Miss Genesis (Rosie) for being such an influential, hard-working, true definition of a teacher. She is a fair grader and wants to ensure we are ready for clients once we reach the senior year and beyond... Out of all of the schools in the area, if you attend Christine Valmy, you are guaranteed to pass state board, trust me.

As a former student, the staff at Christine Valmy have been top-notch. They continue to assist with my testing for a license in New Jersey and keep me posted on job openings (they recently updated their website and it's a wonderful addition). If your looking for a career in Cosmetology or Esthetician, look no further. The education you receive at Christine Valmy will increase your odds of job placement and guide you to future career goals.
