Walking around New York City, you’ll find a nail salon on every block.  Nails are an art, and all these establishments need true artists.  Christine Valmy International School for Esthetics, Skin Care & Makeup builds your knowledge (with a solid foundation of anatomy & physiology) that foster your skin that will turn your client’s time into a relaxing, artistic experience.  Your education will prepare you for the NY State License Exam.  Course description:

Manicures and pedicures are a time-honored tradition. Clients and professionals develop relationships that can last a lifetime. A knowledgeable nail specialist is an artist, a masseuse, a friend. This course covers all the knowledge from the scientific aspects of the nails to massage to various types of nail extensions and wraps, as well as the artistic and business aspects you’ll need to maximize your success.

This course is broken down into the following subjects. The numbers in the Theory and Practice columns indicate the number of classroom hours spent on each subject.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Overview of information necessary to introduce a student to the world of professional nail specialty. Provide comprehensive information of the most well-known, best-used treatment techniques and services requested by clients: manicures, pedicures, hand/arm massage, and various nail techniques. Prepare the student for business practices and successful retailing of products and services. Prepare the student for the State licensure exam and entry-level employment.
